Consul General Lu Shiwei thanked the Foreign Affairs Office of the Government of Heilongjiang Province for its support to the work of the Consulate General, and said that last year, the Consulate General organized a media delegation to visit Heilongjiang. The delegation received warm reception from the leaders and colleagues of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Government of Heilongjiang Province. The media delegation was deeply impressed by Helongjiang and have made many reports, which received enthusiastic social response in the consular district. The main task of the Consulate General is to promote exchanges between the localities of China and Malaysia in the areas of politics, economy, culture, and education, and is willing to actively facilitate Heilongjiang Province and the consular district to further deepen friendship, tap the potential of industrial cooperation in electronics, agriculture, tourism, etc., promote mutual investment, and explore and enhance anti-epidemic cooperation and exchanges.
Wu Wenge thanked the Consulate General for its concern and support for the Heilongjiang Province to expand cooperation with other countries, and said that Dr. Wu Lien-teh from Penang has made outstanding contributions to Heilongjiang’s fight against the plague in history, and Dr. Wu is the bond of friendship between Heilongjiang Province and Penang. Heilongjiang Province is willing to further deepen friendly relations with Penang. The State Council of China has approved the establishment of a pilot free trade zone in Heilongjiang Province to expand cooperation in foreign economic and trade investment, etc. He hoped that on the advice of the Consul General, Heilongjiang Province will establish closer cooperative relations with Penang and other states in the consular district in the fields of agriculture, economy and trade, tourism, anti-epidemic, media, etc.
