On 27 February, Chinese Consul General in Penang Zhou Youbin attended the North Perak Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry Chinese New Year Gathering. Also present at the event were Perak State Executive Councillor YB Teh Kok Lim; Member of the Perak State Legislative Assembly YB Ong Seng Guan, President of the North Perak Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry Toh Poh Keong.

In his remarks, Consul General Zhou said that China’s economy is moving toward new and higher-quality development, which will continue to bring tangible opportunities for Malaysia and other countries. The Consulate General is willing to work with all parties to push for steady progress in building a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future.
