On April 29, Consul General Zhou Youbin met with Dr. Ahmad Shahir Bin Abdul Aziz, Acting Chief Executive Officer of InvestPerak, at the Consulate General.

Consul General Zhou welcomed Dr. Ahmad Shahir to the Consulate General and said the Consulate General stands ready to maintain close communication with relevant departments of Perak, continue supporting Chinese enterprises in investing and doing business in the state, and promote cooperation in manufacturing, new energy, mineral processing, trade, investment and local exchanges.

Dr. Ahmad Shahir thanked the Consulate General for its long-standing support for Perak’s cooperation with China, noting that China is an important source of investment for Perak and that Chinese enterprises have made positive contributions to the state’s economic growth, industrial upgrading and job creation. Perak will continue to improve its business environment, facilitate the implementation of Chinese investment projects and attract more Chinese enterprises to the state.
