On August 8, Chinese Consul General in Penang Zhou Youbin attended the Nanyang Hakka Excellence Gala. Also present were Perak State EXCO YB Ms. Sandrea Ng Shy Ching, CEO of Nanyang Siang Pau Mr.Vincent Lee Seng Chiang, Perak Branch Manager of Nanyang Siang Pau Ms. Wong Pei Shi, and representatives from Perak Hakka associations and awarded enterprises.

Consul General Zhou said, China stays committed to promoting global innovative cooperation and sci-tech advance and bringing development opportunities to the world. Chinese President Xi Jinping stated that all countries should take a people-centered approach and develop AI for the positive and for good. 29 countries including China and Malaysia signed the agreement on establishing World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization, further enriching the Global AI Governance Initiative theoretically and in practice. We hope that the Hakka enterprises make the most of the exclusive advantage of connecting China and Malaysia and devote themselves to the bilateral economic and trade cooperation and people-to-people exchange to contribute wisdom and strength to advancing the China-Malaysia relations to a new level.
