On 14th August, Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Penang held the Symposium on the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Chinese Consul General in Penang Zhou Youbin delivered a keynote speech. Vice President of Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) Datuk Tan Teik Cheng, Vice President of Penang Philomathic Union Society Mr. Tan Chuan Koon, expert of Penang War Museum Ms. Nurmunirah Johari, Senior Lecturer of Universiti Sains Malaysia Dr. Tan Chee Seng, and PhD supervisor of New Era University College Dr. Sim Kok Meng were invited to deliver speeches. More than 80 representatives from various sectors of the consular district attended the symposium.
