Since the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership in 2013, China and Malaysia have maintained continuous, sound and steady growth of bilateral ties, with frequent high-level exchanges between the two countries, solid foundation of political mutual trust, fruitful achievements of economic and trade cooperation, and closer people-to-people and cultural exchanges.

    Penang is a famous historical state with beautiful scenery and diverse cultures. Penang has enjoyed a time-honored history of exchange with China and its cooperation with China is advancing rapidly. In recent years, the four states of Northern Malaysia in the consular district, which are the states of Penang, Perak, Kedah and Perlis, have experienced rapid economic development and continuous improvement of people’s wellbeing.     As the newly appointed Chinese Consul General in Penang, my colleagues and I will spare no effort to continue to promote friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and various areas in the consular districts, enhance mutual understanding and friendship between people of both countries, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens in the consular district, provide high-quality consular services to people from all walks of life, and lead toward new advances in the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Malaysia.
